Summer Strolls through Newfields Garden
Indianapolis’ Newfields is the perfect spot for summer family photos!
As an Indianapolis photographer, I’m lucky enough to visit Newfields semi-regularly… but there was something different about this day. I remember turning the corner into the gardens and my mouth dropped while an audible gasp escaped. It felt like the flowers had bloomed fuller and were standing up taller than when I had last seen them only a week prior. I suppose that’s what mother nature does; she’s in the business of constantly surprising us and leaving us in awe.
Newfields truly holds such a rich history, dating back several decades. It has become a beloved destination for my families that seek to capture their special moments amidst the beauty of nature and art all at once. Choosing The Garden at Newfields means being transported to a place that feels regal and enchanting. The gardens provide a picturesque backdrop, with its meticulously manicured landscapes and vibrant blooms, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of royalty.
As I got to explore the garden's pathways alongside this sweet trio, we discovered hidden nooks and crannies, each offering perfect spots for intimate portraits and playful candid shots. Barely scratching the surface of the 52 acre gardens, every corner still seemed to hold its own story, allowing lasting memories to be created against its captivating backdrop.
Embracing the opportunity to connect with nature's tranquility while immersing oneself in the rich history and artistic inspiration from Newfields is a great addition to the overall family photography experience. Although they do require a small fee for a photo permit, each family thats chosen Newfields as their session location has been over-the-moon happy with the results.
