Embracing the Midday Sun

Who said you can’t make family portraits in full sun?

Full sun has an unmatched way of showing off your little girl’s chipped red nail polish, the delicate way big brother places a flower in her hair, tiny fingers covering dad’s eyes, dimples shining through, and big feelings of love shared between each of you.

This family of five embraced everything the sun had to offer in our midday at home photo session. We soaked up the best of both worlds; making artful imagery while basking in the sun as well as cozy shots inside of their home.

Now I know the thought of taking pictures in harsh midday sun can be a scary mind hurdle to overcome — take a look at what we were able to bring to life with careful technique, vulnerability, and a little trust in yours truly.
