Family Jam Sesh

A family that makes music together, during their photo session, stays together.

That’s the old saying right? Well either way, I’m here to tell you that your family photo session can be as unique as you all are — it’s easy! This specific family is quite musically inclined; with a mom that is in a band, plays harp, and even sings! So naturally it felt right incorporating this deep rooted love of music into their family photoshoot. By doing so we made for an unforgettable experience shared with their two young boys.

After jamming out in their living room for a bit we took a break on their back patio, hung out in their vintage truck, and snuck in some chill snuggles. Here’s a short sweet list of some favorite little things that crossed my lens during this time together: the marble rubber ball finding its way in frame, dad playing drums on big brother’s tummy, little brother needing to climb and jump from everything, palms pressed on glass windows, mom readjusting dad’s hat time and time again, and each personality making more of an appearance as the time passed on.

I have a feeling they’ll always remember this random afternoon spent documenting their family within their childhood home. And that is just so very special if you ask me.
