Waiting Among the Wildflowers

Your Maternity Photos Should Feel as Original As You Are

Dana became a mom eleven years ago when she brought Hermoine into the world. I found it to be so special that she chose to include her daughter throughout our time together. By choosing to involve her with these photos, it made her clearly feel valued and seen as she is stepping into a new role. It was so special to witness their connection and see them get to connect with this intentional time set aside for one another before baby arrives. Truly an enjoyable and heartwarming experience for everyone involved, creating cherished moments that everyone can look back on for years to come.

In a realm where creativity knows no bounds, mothers are stepping outside of the photography norms to create art that truly captures the essence of who they are as a woman while venturing through the journey of bringing life into the world. Expectant mothers are embracing a more alternative style, seeking different and enchanting images that reflect their individuality. And what better way to do so than amidst nature's vibrant tapestry of wildflowers? So that’s exact what we did. We danced through Indiana wildflowers, watched the sun set over the horizon, braided hair, and soaked up the fresh summer air.

By the time our maternity session wrapped up it was clear we struck the balance of skillfully blending the beauty of nature with the radiance of pregnancy, resulting in awe-inspiring imagery that transcends the ordinary. Each frame became a work of art, telling a story and evoking emotions that words alone simply could not express.

This beautifully quirky maternity shoot was documented using a mix of primarily film and a sprinkle of digital photography. The creative choice to also end with some direct flash magic continued to set this session apart from your typical pregnancy photos. If you’re in a season of waiting, get with Loreal about capturing the amazing things you + your body are bringing to life.
