An Autumn Morning at Dappled Willow

Fall family photos with a historic farmhouse location setting for the most cozy portraits!

On this crisp Sunday morning I spent some time with one of my favorite crews capturing some updated family photos. We met at the scenic Dappled Willow farmhouse that was originally built in 1905; finding itself surrounded by acres of beautiful woods, making the perfect backdrop for any fall family photo session.

This family always brings the style + I have the best time documenting the special bonds they all have with one another. If you weren’t sure how to dress for your own fall family photos, take a page out of their book. Mixing your favorite autumn colors without being too matchy gives a playful yet cohesive feel to portraits.

If you’re curious about whether an autumn family photoshoot is the right fit for you, be sure to check out the pros + cons of all seasons outlined in this guide on choosing your perfect time of year.

Fall family photo sessions will always be some of my absolute favorites, especially when a pack of polaroids is involved like above! Be sure to book your fall shoot sooner than later as they tend to be an Indiana favorite + get scooped up quickly.
