Family Photos with a Sweet Ending

Maternity announcements + gender reveal photos don’t have to feel over the top or inauthentic to you!

Pregnancy announcement photos have become a delightful trend that lets expectant parents share their big news in creative and memorable ways. There’s an added layer of joyfulness when documenting your maternity journey in those early stages. It’s like capturing a little piece of magic before the whirlwind of baby preparations takes over!

My time with this growing family was definitely one to remember; we started by roaming the property of their family farm and found ourselves ending at the local Frosty Boy for a sweet treat as the cherry on top of a beautiful evening. It was their wonderful idea to find a flavor that could double as a gender reveal for when they decided to share their photos with family + friends. I love that they wanted to use some of the photographs from our session to announce their best kept secret but in a way that stays true to the style of photography I strive to create. This family photo session felt genuine and full of truth during this chapter of change.

I adore mothers + fathers who take this time as an opportunity to connect and be present with their first born while they’re still the only little one earth side. Everyone’s about to experience change in a big beautiful way, but for now the time is still theirs and you’re their entire world. By choosing to include them in your maternity or announcement photos you’re commemorating this transition in a meaningful way that you’ll all get to look back on fondly.

This family opted for a Fundamental Heirloom package; which included a mix of digital + 35mm film shot along with a pack of polaroids for that instant nostalgia! Which heirloom package is best for you?
